Privacy.

This site collects almost nothing, and that is entirely on purpose. Here is the complete picture, in plain English.

The forms

When you leave a message or send the order form, what you have typed is emailed to hello@analogue.media through an email delivery service, and a short note goes back to the address you gave to say it arrived. The note never repeats what you wrote, so nobody can use the form to send their words to a stranger. What you sent is also kept in the studio's own system, so that I can see where our conversation stands and reply to you properly; it is deleted two years after we last wrote to each other, unless you become a client. What you sent is used to reply to you and for nothing else: it is never added to a mailing list, never shared and never sold. So that the form cannot be used to fill a stranger's inbox, a scrambled fingerprint of that address, and of the network address the form was sent from, is kept for a day and then deletes itself; on its own it cannot be turned back into either. Email hello@analogue.media at any time and anything you have sent will be deleted.

What your browser keeps

A few small things are kept in your own browser, for your convenience, and none of them is ever sent anywhere. A message you have not yet sent, so that a reload does not lose it, kept until you send it or close the tab. Which set you had picked up on the shelf, so that coming back from a case study finds it just where you left it, let go the moment you are back or when you close the tab. And your best distance on the handheld, with whether you prefer its sound on or off, kept until you clear your browser's data.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The forms are protected by a spam check, which may set a functional cookie strictly to tell people from bots, and only once you have started on a form. Visitor numbers, once they are measured, will be counted without cookies and without identifying anyone.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider, which processes visitor IP addresses as part of running its network and protecting the site.

Your client account

Clients have an account at clients.analogue.media, which keeps what it needs to look after your site and your plan: your name and email address, your agreement (when it was signed, and from which network address), your invoices and payments, your messages, the devices signed in to it and the network addresses they used, and a record of what is done in it. A cookie keeps you signed in and does nothing else. Card payments are taken by a payment provider, and your card number never reaches the account. Files sent with a message come to me by email, and the account keeps only their names.

The account's emails note when they are opened, in which kind of email app, and which of their links is followed, using a tiny image and links that pass through the account. That tells me the important ones, invoices and sign-in codes among them, have reached you, and only I see it. You can turn it off at any time under Your details in the account, or email me and I will.
